Privacy Policy for Video AI Player
This Privacy Policy describes how Raamo Apps ("we", "us", or "our") handles
information in the mobile application Video AI Player (the "App") available on
Google Play (package name: com.rms.videoplayerai.
By installing or using Video AI Player, you agree to the practices described
in this Privacy Policy.
1. WHO WE ARE

2. SUMMARY (PLAIN ENGLISH)
- Video AI Player does NOT require an account or sign-up.
- Your videos stay on your device. We never upload, copy, or transmit your
video files anywhere.
- We use Google AdMob to show ads (banner + rewarded), Google Firebase
Analytics and Crashlytics for app diagnostics. These services are
consent-gated: in regions where required (such as the EU/EEA), they
collect data only after you give consent.
- You can delete all data the app stores at any time from Settings → Delete
all App data, or by uninstalling the app.
3. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
Video AI Player does NOT collect any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- Your contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs, or files (other than the
video metadata needed to display your library).
- Your precise location (GPS coordinates).
- Your photos or videos. The app reads videos locally on your device to
display your library and play them — it never uploads them.
- Your audio recordings or microphone input.
- Your health, financial, or payment information.
- Any account credentials.
4. INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (CONSENT-GATED)
Video AI Player uses the following third-party services. These services are
provided by Google LLC and are subject to Google's own privacy policy:

A. Google AdMob (Advertising)
We use Google AdMob to show banner ads on intro screens and rewarded video
ads when you choose to unlock features. AdMob may collect:
- Advertising ID (AD_ID)
- Approximate location (derived from IP address)
- Device identifiers and ad interaction data
- Used for: showing ads, fraud prevention, ad performance measurement
B. Google Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (which screens
are popular, which features work well). Firebase Analytics may collect:
- App interactions (button taps, screen views, sessions)
- Device information (model, OS version, language)
- General usage diagnostics
- Used for: improving the app, analytics
C. Google Firebase Crashlytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive automatic crash reports when the app
crashes, so we can fix bugs. Crashlytics may collect:
- Crash logs and stack traces
- Device information (model, OS version)
- App state at the time of the crash
- Used for: bug fixing, app stability
CONSENT CONTROL
In regions where required (including the EU/EEA under GDPR), Video AI Player
shows a consent screen at first launch using Google's User Messaging Platform
(UMP). You can accept all, accept only essential, or reject personalized
data collection. By default, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection
is OFF and only enabled after you provide consent.
5. DATA STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE
The following information is stored ONLY on your device (never sent to any
server we control):
- Watch history (which videos you've played)
- Favourite videos list
- Playlists you create
- App preferences and settings (theme, sound profile, AI feature toggles)
- Recently streamed URLs
- Unlock state for AI features (12-hour timer after watching a rewarded ad)
This local data is stored using Android's standard storage (Room database
and DataStore). It is removed when you uninstall the app or use the
in-app "Delete all App data" option.
6. PERMISSIONS REQUESTED BY VIDEO AI PLAYER
- READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (Android 13+) / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and
below): Required to display and play your video files. Videos are read
locally only and never uploaded.
- INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to stream video URLs you provide
(HLS, DASH, MP4 links) and to load ads + analytics.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_
audio playing in the background when you enable "Background Play".
- WAKE_LOCK: Required to keep the screen and CPU active during video
playback.
- MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: Required for the "Dialogue Boost" audio
enhancement feature.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time from your device's
system settings.
7. HOW TO DELETE YOUR DATA
You have full control over the data Video AI Player stores. To delete it:
Option 1 — Delete all app data from inside the app:
1. Open Video AI Player.
2. Tap the menu icon (three lines) → Settings.
3. Tap "Delete all App data".
4. Confirm the action.
This clears:
- Watch history
- Favourites list
- Playlists
- All app preferences and settings
- Recently streamed URLs
- Unlock state for AI features
Option 2 — Clear only watch history:
1. Open Settings → Clear Watch History.
2. Confirm the action.
Option 3 — Uninstall the app:
Uninstalling Video AI Player automatically removes ALL locally stored
data from your device.
Option 4 — Revoke analytics and advertising consent:
You can reset your consent choice at any time:
Settings → Privacy → Reset Consent. The next time you open the app,
the consent screen will appear again so you can change your choice.
DATA HELD BY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (Firebase, AdMob)
If you previously consented to analytics or advertising, any data already
sent to Google Firebase or Google AdMob is subject to Google's retention
policies:
- Firebase Analytics: up to 14 months (default)
- Firebase Crashlytics: up to 90 days
- AdMob: managed per Google's advertising policies

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Video AI Player is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you
believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact
us at ravanapps@gmail.com and we will take steps to address it.
For users aged 13-17 in regions where parental consent is required, we
encourage parental involvement before installing or using the app.
9. DATA SECURITY
All data transmitted between Video AI Player and Google's services (AdMob,
Firebase) is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). Local data stored on
your device is protected by Android's standard app sandbox.
We do not maintain our own servers or databases that store user data.
10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in
the app or in legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of
this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this page
periodically.
